ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Economic Development - A term that we hear sometimes but cannot fully grasp what it really means. While we think that it concerns buildings and how much money is being made, this is only part of what the term means.
To make it simple, it means a community's development from being poor to being wealthy by measuring their standard of living. Large indicators for this are how well people can read, how healthy they are, and how many people go to school.
So this means that we are sometimes a little mislead by the term "economic", as also human development plays a big role. Through developing our welfare systems and creating more accessibility to education and health care, we can help to stimulate economic growth, and yes, money making.
